Cooper's Rock

My wife and I rode down to Cooper's Rock S.P. WV 10/07/06 what a GREAT ride. Temp. was good, leaves were changing. It dosen't get much better than this. Doing what I love with the one I love.

Hocking Hills Ohio

Rain Rain Go Away

The trip to Linvillefalls was very nice. With the rain comming mainly at night. Leaving us plenty of dry riding time. Met a couple from Flordia riding a Yamaha Stratoliner, very nice looking bike. Maybe next year we will stay somewhere with that new conditioned air stuff.

Different But The Same

Last year on our September trip we found a very nice place to stay, Linville Falls Lodge. But we were just passing through, on a big loop from our home in Wheeling, WV to Deals Gap and back home. Five days and a different place every night. A very nice trip, but every day we had a certain distance to cover. Not hard but some days got very tiring.
This year we are going to do something different. When going on previous trips with my Uncle plannig the trips, he would find a central point to stay (usally a campground) and use it as a base and ride in a different direction each day. So this year we are going to do something similar, Staying at Linville Falls Lodge for the whole trip.(We dont have a camper plus we like the comforts of the lodge).

Lets call this trip "STAG"(name changed but stole the wording from Hal@ HDL.)
The "STAG" aspect of this trip means that you can do whatever you want. Everyone will know what our BASIC PLAN is so that they can come and go when and where they want.
When: June 24,2006 to June 28,2006
Day 1: Get there, This year some will trailer and some will ride. We will join up at the Lodge for dinner, and conversation.
Days 2, 3 & 4: Will be trips with some points of interest along the way. Ending each day with a group dinner, and find out who is the best rider.( Bench Racing ya gota love it )
Stay with the group, go on your own ride or just relax at the Lodge. Take pictures and enjoy the journey.
Day 5: The trip home will be the same as the trip there, only with alot of mixed feelings. Sad because it is over, but happy with all the memories ( and pictures ) to share with friends.

We will be in contact with the lodge in January 2006.
We will have more detailed plans by February 2006.

We hope everyone will be able to join us. And we are going to try to get some new faces to join us on our journy.

Right now we are planning a trip back to Linville Falls Lodge.
